Posts Installation

L Shape Carports and Pergola as name suggested have posts on only one side of the structure.

Standard Sizes with Solid Polycarbonate Sheets:

  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 4.0m with 2 Posts and Long Steel Bases = 180 Kg
  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 5.0m with 2 Posts and Long Steel Bases = 195 Kg
  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 6.0m with 3 Posts and Long Steel Bases= 260 Kg
  • Standard Post: 3.0m High

 

Standard Sizes with Insulated Roof Panels:

  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 4.0m with 2 Posts and Long Steel Bases = 215 Kg
  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 5.0m with 2 Posts and Long Steel Bases = 280 Kg
  • Size: Width 3.0m x Length 6.0m with 3 Posts and Long Steel Bases= 305 Kg
  • Standard Post: 3.0m High

These can be installed in both ways:

On Concrete Installation:

Install the Steel Base on the concrete with Dynabolts providedCut short the post as per the required height, max 250cm

or

Buried in the ground installation:

Dig the required size hole in the groundBury the Long Steel Base in the ground with suitable concrete mixer. Let them dry to atleast 24 hours before starting the Post & frame installation.

To achive more than 2.5m height, use long steel bases buried in the ground to install the posts

Post Positions

Posts position in L Shape & M Shape Carports and Pergolas are little flexible. You can move them littlebit if needed, keeping the gap between the posts

L Shape 3.0m x 4.0m: The gap should be between 300cm to 350cm

L Shape 5.0m x 3.0m: The gap should be between 310cm to 360cm

L Shape 5.0m x 3.0m: The gap should be between 240cm to 280cm



FAQs for Carports

Can the post height be reduced/adjusted?
Yes, standard posts height is 3.0m and customer can cut them short from the bottom end. 

Can we install the carport on a slopy driveway?
Yes definitely. By cutting one post shorter than the other, the level of the slope can be managed to have desired roof level.

Are the gutter and drain pipe included in the kit?
Yes, gutter, drain pipe, connector and elbows are included in the kit.

Can installed post height be higher than 2.5m?
Yes, the Long Steel Bases can be buried in the ground, then 3.0m post can be slid over and secured with bolts & screws.
